Discussing the Future of Climate and Sustainability in Milan!
We participated in the 4th World Conference on Climate Change & Sustainability, held on 22–24 October 2025 in Milan, where key topics such as climate action, sustainability, circular economy, biodiversity and the road to net-zero were discussed in depth.
Over the course of three insightful days:
We engaged with academics, policymakers, industry leaders and sustainability professionals from across the globe.
We explored the latest approaches to climate science, transition strategies, carbon management, energy efficiency and sustainable innovation.
We gained valuable insights into methods we can implement within our sector.
This global gathering provided an important opportunity to strengthen our perspective, follow best practices and deepen potential international collaborations on our sustainability journey.

Sustainable Brands Turkey 2025
Adapt and Accelerate, İstanbul
The main focus of this year’s event was clear:
Companies need to translate their sustainability goals into operational practices, not just strategy documents.
Three key topics stood out in the sessions:

As Şimşek Ambalaj, we had the privilege of attending Sustainability Live at the Business Design Centre – London on 9-10 September.
For us, sustainability is not just an agenda item; it is a core element that shapes the way we operate, the decisions we make, and the future we aspire to build. This event once again reminded us that true transformation is only possible through collective wisdom and collaboration.

Education, İzmir 2025
Building a sustainable world starts with engaging younger generations in this journey.
At Şimşek Ambalaj, we had the privilege of joining the IKC-MH.41 Sustainable Development course at Izmir Katip Celebi University , connecting with future engineers and sharing insights on the role of sustainability in the business world. This gathering proved to be an inspiring experience for both the students and our team.
During the session, our Sustainability Manager, İzel Çalık, shared her experiences on our sustainability practices and their impact in the business world. We view university-industry collaborations as one of the most powerful tools for social sustainability and knowledge sharing, and we are delighted to contribute to expanding young engineers perspectives and raising awareness about sustainability.
We believe these interactions offer valuable learning opportunities not only for students but also for our team. Engaging with different perspectives inspires us to take stronger steps toward a sustainable future.

EcoVadis Sustain, Paris 2025
It was truly inspiring to see so many professionals in supply chain and procurement reaffirm that sustainability is not just a trend, but a foundational part of how we do business. Once again, it became clear how essential this approach is for creating long-term value, building resilience, and generating positive impact.
A common theme highlighted in the panel sessions was clear: Sustainability is a team effort. Organization-wide leadership, clear targets, and a shared commitment to progress are at the heart of positive change.
Panelists emphasized that true sustainable transformation is not the job of a single department—it requires collaboration across the entire organization.
Fostering strong supplier relationships, setting clear goals, and co-creating value with customers along sustainability principles not only drives environmental progress, but also strengthens teams and employer branding.
Inspired by this gathering, we are more motivated than ever to keep sustainability at the core of everything we do.
Responsible Phase-1 Ministry of Trade,

We were delighted to take part in ChangeNOW 2025, one of the world’s largest sustainability events, held on April 24–26 at the iconic Grand Palais in Paris!
As Şimşek Ambalaj, we had the opportunity to present our sustainable packaging solutions and circular economy practices to an international audience of stakeholders.
Throughout the event, we encountered many inspiring initiatives, solutions, and collaborations. It was a powerful reminder of the importance of acting together for the future of our planet.
Witnessing the global recognition of our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, enhance resource efficiency, and integrate eco-friendly materials into our production processes was truly motivating.
It was a rewarding experience where we exchanged ideas with sustainability leaders from both our industry and various other sectors, and planted the seeds for promising future collaborations.

Responsible Program, İzmir 2025
We were pleased to host the Ministry of Trade officials and Greenlife Consultancy team at our facility as part of the Responsible® Program, initiated by the Ministry of Trade to support the Green Deal alignment process.
During these valuable discussions, we had the opportunity to assess our sustainability performance, potential challenges, and the competitive advantages of complying with international regulations.

As Şimşek Ambalaj, we had a full day listening to inspiring speeches and meeting with important participants from other sectors at the Sustainable Brands Turkey Meeting, which we attended with the invitation of the Sustainability Academy. We improved our awareness of sustainability, gained new ideas and had the opportunity to listen to international speakers.
At this important event, we once again strengthened our goal of developing environmental friendly solutions. We were inspired by important practices and innovative approaches that support our vision of leaving a cleaner, greener and more sustainable world to the future. We look forward to reflecting all the knowledge and experience we gained at the Sustainable Brands Türkiye 12th Anniversary Meeting into our business.
