1977Şimşek Ambalaj Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. is established in İzmir, Turkey, on May 04, 1977.
1981Significant expansion in machinery capacity until 1993.
1994Building a new plant in İzmir Çiğli Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone.
1996Şimşek Ambalaj started operation in the new plant of 34.211 m².
1998Renewal of printing and lacquering lines.
1999Setting up high-speed automatic production lines for edible oil industry.
2001Certification of ISO 9002:1994 Quality Management System. Production and storage area is expanded.
2002Şimşek Ambalaj continues investing in automatic manufacturing lines for edible oil, paints & coatings and printing inks industries.
2003Started the operation of 4 colour offset printing line used in Turkey for the first time. Certification of ISO 9001:2000, HACCP, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 quality certificates being first in can packaging industry as well.
2007Expansion in capacity and setting up high-technology eco-friendly lacquering lines.
2008Investment of tinplate aerosol production lines. Setting up automatic pail manufacturing lines including tester operated in Turkey for the first time. Automatic palletising and stretching machines are installed to shorten delivery times and improve shipment quality.
2009Setting up aerosol components production machines. İstanbul Branch Office is open.
2010Computer to Plate (CTP) and sampling machine investments are made.
2011Capacity increase and quality improvement investments in printing lines.
2012Investments in aerosol components production machinery have been realized. IT Department is updated.
2013Certification of UN in accordance with ADR (The Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) Regulation for paints and other chemical products.
2016We have left half a century beyond. Launch of innovative products for the olive oil industry. Thanks to our R&D Department.
2017Expansion in capacity of aerosol manufacturing lines for industrial, home care, personal care & beauty and healthcare products.
2019Investments are made in the R&D Department that provides technical support to the manufacturing site.
2020Renewal of our whole vehicle fleet for better service to our customers. Investments for automation.
2023Şimşek Ambalaj was entitled to receive the Silver Level GreenCheck Certificate as a result of the Sustainability audit.
2024Declaration reports were created in compliance with the EU Border Carbon Regulation Mechanism. ISO 14064 Greenhouse Gas Management System was established in order to comply with the EU Green Deal and the Sustainability targets. Şimşek Ambalaj was awarded to receive the Certificate of Verification.
2025Granted the EcoVadis Committed Badge. Received ISO 50001 Energy Management System Certificate by bringing energy management work to international standards. Awarded the Gold Level GreenCheck Certificate, another important milestone in its Sustainability journey.
2026Our commitment to sustainability and green transformation has earned us a place among only 44 companies in Türkiye awarded the Responsible® Brand Designation. Named the only company from Türkiye as a finalist in The Global Sustainability Awards, earning international recognition for our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
